SteamMaster Golf gives over $20,500 to local non-profit and charities.
Vail, Colorado – November 8, 2011 – The 7th annual SteamMaster Golf tournament gave $20,565.84 to its beneficiaries. Recipients of this year’s event were Vail Valley Charitable Fund, Minturn Community Fund – Family Emergency Fund, Vail Symposium and the Matthews Family Education Fund.
The Golf tournament was founded and organized by SteamMaster Restoration and Cleaning in memory of Kim Matthews, their Marketing Director, who passed away of cancer in May 2005.
The event had 34 teams in attendance and was held on Friday, September 30th at the spectacular Fazio Course in Red Sky Ranch in Wolcott, Colorado – rated the # 1 Golf Course in Colorado by Travel + Leisure Golf.
Tournament Administrator, Raj Manickam commented, “SteamMaster has raised over $277,384.00 over the last seven tournaments. Each year we rotate two out of the four beneficiaries to include new non-profits and charitable organizations.”

Red is the new sky!
We are excited to announce this year we moved SteamMaster Golf, our seventh annual to Red Sky Ranch at the Tom Fazio Course.
SteamMaster has raised over $230,000 over the last 6 years through the golf tournament and participated in numerous other fund-raising activities over the years. The beneficiaries of this year’s event will be Vail Valley Charitable Fund, Vail Symposium, Minturn Community Fund for their Family Emergency Fund and the Matthews Family Education Fund.
The tournament was founded in 2005 in memory of Kim Matthews, SteamMaster’s Marketing Director, who passed away from cancer. The tournament is assisted by volunteers from various non-profit groups and individuals. Funds received for the golf tournament are tax deductible through Vail Valley Charitable Fund, a 501(C) (3) entity. Registration form can be found on the downloads tab here
Red Sky Golf Course features two championship golf courses designed by Tom Fazio and Greg Norman. The Courses are separated by a massive ridge, which serves as wildlife migration corridor for deer and elk. Great care was taken to preserve the natural landscape, including transplanting or re-vegetation of more than 25,000 native plants during the construction of the Tom Fazio golf course alone. Approximately 80 acres of sod was applied to each course, reducing the amount of fertilizer necessary for seed grow-in, which protected the nearby Eagle River from silt erosion, which is common when seed is used. Both Courses have breath-taking views and are registered as Audubon Cooperative Sanctuaries.

Join SteamMaster’s 6th Annual on Sept 24th
It seems as if we recently hosted our first charity golf tournament, but 2010 is in fact our sixth year! We invite you to support the Sixth Annual SteamMaster Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the Vail Symposium, Minturn Community Fund – Family Emergency Fund, Vail Valley Charitable Fund and the Matthews Family Educational Fund.
The event will be held on Friday, September 24, 2010 at the Gypsum Creek Golf Course. Nestled in the Gypsum Valley, Gypsum Creek Golf Course is a Pete Dye designed 18-hole Championship course for players of all caliber.
The SteamMaster Charity Golf Tournament was founded and is organized by SteamMaster Restoration & Cleaning LLC in memory of Kim Matthews, our Marketing Director, who died of liver cancer in May, 2005. The tournament is assisted by volunteers from various non-profit groups and individuals.
Funds received for the Golf Tournament are tax deductible through Vail Valley Charitable Fund. VVCF is a 501(c) (3) entity.
Over the last five years SteamMaster Golf Tournament has raised over $216,000 for local charities. In the last 4 out of 5 years, the tournament sold out with 34 teams in attendance. SteamMaster expects to sell out the tournament again this year and raise even more money for these worthy charities and non-profits.
